Reviews
Small, understated restaurant. The menu is limited but the offering is high quality. However, given its limited menu, you may not find something you totally love. Having said that, the food is great quality and the fried chicken is a must order. The staff are super friendly. English menu is available and they all speak English very well (or they are native English speakers)
Snug and romantic as promised! The dining experience was a delight, with the set menu ordered in the beginning, you then have the lovely experience of eating through the courses, which arrive in a good timing and have a nice flow that allows you to simply enjoy the night.
The food was delicious, the dishes felt original and there was always a little twist that made us go: ooh. If you crave that feeling when eating out, I'd recommend Ellsworth.
Definitely make a reservation :)
Hmm tough review. Everyone says it’s great…. Came for my bday with reservations. One look at the menu when we arrived and we were trying to figure out a way to leave. We knew it wasn’t going to be great. It’s a small place, music a bit too loud. Nice friendly staff who speaks English. Boring fried chicken. Nothing interesting on the desert menu. Expensive for the level of cuisine. Nothing wowed or impressed us. Too bad.
Very good food and excellent service. The restaurant is small, but the charming staff treats everyone like a regular. I had a delicious dinner (the celery root was surprisingly excellent) and look forward to coming back soon. Merci!
We go here every time we visit and are always impressed with the service and the food. During our most recent visit we fell in love with the fried chicken. And during a past visit the soup in a pumpkin was outstanding (we still remember it 5 years later).
This is more a New American restaurant than French restaurant to me. Surrounding with all kind of tourist I feel like I’m back into US. Food is good but nothing really amaze. Portion is small. For example €10 fried chicken is 3 medium size pieces. When you have a large party like us (more than 6) they required minimum €60 per head on spending. If we have a private room or special tastings menu then I will be more happy to pay for that. This case we need to order more wine and food in order to fulfill the bill. This is not a local French restaurant.
Great spot to try some French & American fusion. They are using all ingredients from a farm near Paris, which requires the chef to be creative and come up with new dishes based on produce availability! Everything I’ve tried was delicious and I loved how the flavours worked together. Look forward to trying more of their dishes!
Lots of positive and negative reviews, so we were a bit skeptical. Had a lovely evening. Kind service, relaxed atmosphere, left very full. Highly recommend the gazpacho and lobster/fennel dish.
